From media relations and brand campaigns to nonprofit storytelling and collaboration, these projects represent the heart of Showcase Communications. Consider this our little gift of storytelling joy — and a look behind the scenes at what made this year so special.
1. Media Relations
Nothing beats helping a great story find the spotlight. We were grateful for the chance to partner with McClone Insurance and Insight Publications to share the story of McClone’s growth and its incredible leader, Dustin McClone. A big thank you to everyone who helped bring this feature to life.

2. Brand Campaigns: Why I Love Oshkosh
When brands invest in telling their own story, something meaningful happens.
You build connection.
You build pride.
You build community.
Our partnership with Motion Works Media on the Discover Oshkosh video series, Why I Love Oshkosh, blends brand storytelling and community pride into a narrative that celebrates the people, places, and spaces we love.
Featuring 30-year resident and ambassador Patrick Tracey, the tour guide you never knew you needed, this series celebrates the energy, charm, and hidden gems that make Oshkosh so special. From cozy neighborhood bars and local coffee shops to the new 1,000 foot mural, local artisans, XRoads41, Cruisin Tiki, and Slow Roll Oshkosh, Pat’s adventures remind us how fun it is to be a tourist in your own town.

3. Event PR
Showcase Communications was born out of event PR. With thousands of events under our belt, we know how to bring your event to life and share it with the community. That experience is especially valuable when you are launching something new.
This October, we partnered with Alair Homes Green Bay to support Build My Future Brown County, an inaugural event that introduced high school students to the many career paths available in the trades.
From social marketing to news coverage, we were grateful to help shine a spotlight on a future-focused experience that is opening doors for the next generation.

4. Designing a Vision
We love partnering with clients who dream big, welcome change, and refuse to accept the status quo. Our ongoing work with Outagamie County is a great example of that spirit in action.
Together, we have supported the A New Avenue campaign and communications for the College Avenue WIS 125 project to build awareness, visibility, and understanding around a future-forward corridor.
This year, we helped bring that work to life through a comprehensive vision document that makes a complex project clear, engaging, and easy for the public to explore. From design to storytelling, our goal was simple. Create a resource that helps residents see the possibilities ahead and understand why this investment matters.

5. Annual Reports
Oh, the annual report. The yearly project that can feel heavy and daunting, even for the most seasoned marketing directors. We all know how important these communications are for our most valued stakeholders, but the real challenge is creating something people actually want to watch or read.
There is no rule that annual reports have to be serious or stuffy. That is why we loved partnering with the Fox Cities CVB to create a fun, engaging annual report video that truly connected with their audiences.
From Zamboni rides to hands-on fun at the Building for Kids, we highlighted the impact of the Fox Cities tourism industry through the people and places that brought it to life. A year of progress and possibility, told in a way that feels just as vibrant as the community itself.

6. Newsletters
Building a Community That Stays Connected
A strong newsletter is one of the most powerful tools in your marketing strategy. It gives you direct access to people who already want to hear from you. When you show up with stories, updates, and news they can use, you build trust and keep your community engaged.
Newsletters should not be all self promotion. They are a chance to teach, inspire, and make a deeper impact over time. We love helping clients create content that feels like a conversation, not a broadcast.
Email remains one of the highest performing channels, with average open rates around 34 percent. Your audience is far more likely to see and engage with your message here than on social.
Whether it is monthly updates, campaign storytelling, or impact highlights, newsletters give your audience a reason to stay close. And that is how real connection grows.
7. Content Strategy & Planning
The Work That Makes Every Story Stronger
Every organization has a story worth telling. The challenge is knowing where to start. We hear it all the time. I don't have a plan. How do we share our story in a way that feels intentional, meaningful, and effective?
When you are juggling platforms, deadlines, and an endless mix of content ideas, it can feel like you are always one step behind. That uncertainty is real, and it is exactly why a thoughtful strategy matters.
That is where we come in. We listen. We simplify. We help you build a strategy and planning tools that make communication feel clear, organized, and doable.
A strong content strategy is the behind the scenes work that leads to the big moments on stage. It aligns your message, strengthens your voice, and gives your team the confidence to tell your story with purpose.
Because when you know where you are going, every piece of content moves you forward.
8. Fundraising Communications & Event PR
With a deep understanding of nonprofit communications and mission based storytelling, it is always a joy when projects come along that are big, bold, and so impactful you cannot help but be drawn into the cause.
That has been our experience with Catalpa Health, the leading provider of pediatric mental health services in the Fox Valley. What began as brand research grew into a partnership that supported the Catalpa leadership team and foundation board as they prepared to launch the Catalpa Foundation with confidence, clarity, and momentum.
From developing a strong case for support to educating the internal team and guiding the external announcement, our work came to life in early May to kick off Mental Health Awareness Month.
The launch event gathered key donors, community partners, and local media, creating the perfect moment to introduce a foundation dedicated to expanding access to pediatric mental health care.
We were proud to partner with this dynamic team through each phase of the unveiling and help bring a meaningful mission to center stage.

9. Integrated Campaigns
In the nonprofit world, there are moments when you need to rise above the noise and tell a story that truly moves people to give. Your audiences are stretched thin. Donors are busy, attention spans are short, and their focus is scattered across many platforms. The question becomes simple. How do you make sure your story reaches them in a meaningful way?
Integrated communications is our answer. We look at the full PESO model by Gini Dietrich and build a cohesive campaign anchored in one powerful, purpose driven narrative. A story that stays consistent, no matter where it appears.
Our work with Day By Day is a great example. For their year end campaign, the goal was to raise awareness about the rising crisis of older adults experiencing homelessness. To shape this story, we interviewed the Day By Day team, community partners, and shelter guests who were willing to share their experience. We paired these voices with data and issue context, then brought the story to life across long-form website articles, print pieces, short form video, and social graphics.
It became a campaign that met people where they already were, provided education and inspired them to act.

10. Influencer Marketing: Letting Others Tell Your Story
Sometimes the best way to expand your reach is to let someone else tell your story. That is the power of influencer marketing. These content creators are modern storytellers who introduce your brand to new audiences in ways that feel authentic and engaging.
We have been working in influencer marketing for over a decade and love helping our clients find the right creators who can produce compelling stories, whether it is a one-time partnership or a long term collaboration.
And with influencer marketing on the rise for 2026, especially in the nano creator space, we are excited to match more brands to their perfect storytellers. 🌟 We even wrote an article to help you get started.

11. Collaborative Storytelling
In football, the biggest plays are rarely made alone. They come from strong teamwork, smart coordination, and knowing when to pass the ball. We saw that firsthand when the NFL Draft came to Green Bay and delivered a major economic win for our entire region.
That same mindset applies to public relations. The strongest campaigns are built through collaboration. Working together to shape a unified story, amplify shared strengths, and lift up an entire region.
That was the foundation of the All Draft No Hassle campaign. In partnership with Fox Cities CVB, Discover Oshkosh, and Appleton International Airport, we helped build a narrative that invited NFL fans to experience the Draft beyond Green Bay and explore the surrounding communities. A true team effort, with a regional win as the end zone.

12. Collaboration: The Heart of Showcase
When we look around, we see countless examples of how powerful storytelling can be when the right people come together around a shared vision.
From day one, the vision for Showcase centered on collaboration. Not just with our clients, but with agency partners, creative teams, and freelancers who bring different strengths to the table. The work is always stronger and way more fun when you are building something together.
That spirit was front and center in the Penfield Building Blocks video series. This four part educational series was one piece of a larger integrated marketing campaign led by the team at E-Power Marketing. When Motion Works Media invited us to join the project and help bring the video series to life, we were eager to jump in and collaborate.
As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited about the stories still waiting to unfold and where they will take us. Cheers to what we have built and the collaborations yet to come!
